 ut the Presenter\nLarry Woods volunteers at the Heinz History Center in mu
 ltiple capacities: assisting as a glass appraiser seven of the past Hidden
  Treasures events held at the History Center\; working with the education 
 staff with a hands-on educational glass experience for both grade school a
 nd high school students\; helping with the military veterans experience ev
 ents\; researching various historical perspectives of the history of the w
 estern Pennsylvania glass industry\; leading docent tours for both adults 
 and children\; delivering Outreach presentations to the larger western PA 
 community.\n\nLarry began volunteering in 2013 after retiring from private
  sector consulting. A Vietnam veteran\, he served for four years in the Un
 ited States Air Force and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergea
 nt. He received his B.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1974 and becam
 e a counselor for delinquent youth with the PA Department of Public Welfar
 e. He received his Masters of Public Administration from Penn State Univer
 sity in 1982. He returned to the Department of Public Welfare where he bec
 ame the Director of Information Systems for the Office of Children\, Youth
  and Families\, retiring after 25 years of service. Larry then began work 
 as a consultant with Walter R. McDonald & Assoc. Inc. as a Senior Informat
 ion Systems Manager.\n\nLarry and his wife Cheryl recently celebrated 35 y
 ears of marriage and share a love of regional glass history. They are avid
  glass collectors and are active with several area glass clubs including t
 he Lowell Innes Glass Club which meets monthly at the Heinz History Center
 .
