 >About the Speaker</em></strong>\nDr. Paul Douglas Newman is a Professor o
 f History at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown\, where he has taug
 ht courses about Early American History and Native American History for ov
 er 30 years. He has authored many books and scholarly articles on the hist
 ory of Pennsylvania. He has been the recipient of several University of Pi
 ttsburgh and UPJ teaching awards. He was named the History Channel Nationa
 l History Teacher of the Year in 2008. He has participated in several proj
 ects at the Somerset Historical Center over the years and has delivered ta
 lks on the Whiskey Rebellion and the Poster Art of World War 2 for the Som
 erset Historical Center. \n\n
