 y of baseball\, Saturday\, May 11th from 2pm to 4pm. \n\nPresenter Jim Hal
 ler is a long-standing and highly respected member of the Society for Amer
 ican Baseball Research (SABR)\, and a fountain of information on America’s
  favorite pastime.  His presentation\, “Growing Up With Baseball in Pittsb
 urgh\,” is about his lifelong passion for baseball and following the Pitts
 burgh Pirates and their many memorable players and seasons.  It is a joy f
 or all those who remember the World Series winning teams of 1960\, 1971\, 
 and 1979.  But Jim also taps into the boyhood memories of growing up on Pi
 ttsburgh’s North Side and following teams that did not make the Pennant ra
 ce – when the real joy in baseball was found in a neighborhood pick-up gam
 e. \n\nMr. Haller has logged over 2\,300 hours of service at the Heinz His
 tory Center\, where he serves in many capacities:  as a Concierge for spec
 ial programs and events\; as a Docent (a Docent is a trained and certified
  museum tour guide) for both school and adult tours both at the History Ce
 nter in the Strip District and the Ft. Pitt Museum at the Point\; and as a
  Heinz History Center Ambassador who takes the Center’s stories on the roa
 d. He is also a Navy veteran. \n\nPittsburgh has a rich baseball history\,
  which includes the distinction of hosting the first World Series game in 
 1903. The presentation in Somerset will be a delightful exploration for an
 yone who loves baseball. Bring your friends\, family\, or little league te
