 s often fills quickly. If you are interested in taking the class\, please 
 register for the waiting list. This will ensure that you are first to be n
 otified if a spot opens up or when we are scheduling each year's class.**
 \n\nIntroduction to the Art of Tinning is designed to provide a beginning 
 knowledge of the 18th & 19th century tinning using manual construction too
 ls and techniques. A brief history of the tinsmith trade will be covered d
 uring an illustrated talk. \n\nThe fee for the class is $200.00 for Non-me
 mbers\, $185.00 for Members\n\nThere are a variety of projects to choose f
 rom. Students will be able to construct several reproduction items includi
 ng a candle holder\, wall sconce\, typical punched-tin pie cabinet panel\,
  one pint mug\, etc. Starting with basic layout and pattern making\, we wi
 ll walk through the cutting\, forming\, and assembly of a project. Project
 s are based on period designs\, using traditional tools and methods. All t
 ools and materials are included for the workshop. Participants are encoura
 ged to bring examples of tin ware as well as tools for examples\, discussi
 on and possible use.\n\nThe class is taught by 'Tinman' Roy and Sharon Phi
 llips\, one of our highly skilled Mountain Craft Day artisans.\n\nSchedule
  for the workshop is Saturday and Sunday\, 8:00am to ~5:00pm both days.
