Mountain Craft Days

Mountain Craft Days is the Somerset Historical Center’s major educational event, held annually on the first weekend after Labor Day. This three-day outdoor festival features 125 crafts persons, artisans, and entertainers interpreting the rural folkways of western Pennsylvania. The event draws over 9,000 visitors to the site each September, from all across the northeast and around the world.

In 2024, Mountain Craft Days is scheduled for September 6th, 7th, and 8th . It runs from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day.

Admission Charged.

Free on-site parking (In the event of inclement weather, Free Shuttles will be provided. Follow signs to offsite hard-lot parking.)

No Pets Permitted.

ATM available in the Visitors Center.

The amount of work it takes to host Mountain Craft Days is tremendous, and we could not do it without the help of our community.
