Coopering Tools

All tools are patterned after originals used by coopers in Somerset County, PA, where a cottage craft coopering industry flourished to supply coopered containers for use on the numerous farms and maple sugar camps.

Our tools are hand crafted to our specifications by a local artisan. Some are kept on stock, while others are made as ordered. These tools and supplies are great for the crafts-person, hobbyist, or museum interpreter. They come sharpened, but may need a final honing for ultimate cutting. We use these tools in our coopering demonstrations as part of our museum interpretation and a school of coopering each spring. Our tools will help the novice or experienced cooper fill their toolbox with serviceable tools.

**PLEASE NOTE: Due to the inconsistent nature of shipping costs, the shipping is not included in the price of the tools. Once an order is placed we will contact you with the final costs to ship to your location.**
